We Are Family Foundation’s Youth to the Front Fund is excited to announce a special call for creatives to address systemic injustice, shift narratives, and inspire change locally and globally.

Now, in 2023, the mission for Youth to the Front Fund is growing to uplift, support, and fund:

Artist Collectives
Cultural Storytellers
Creative Organizers
Who are using their voice and the power of art to address systemic injustice and shift narratives in local and global communities.

This special call is designed for creatives and collectives in the sectors of:

Visual Arts: Painting, Drawing & SculptingPhotography, Filmmaking & MediaDigital Art, Illustration & Graphic DesignGraffiti & Street ArtFashion Design, etc.
Performance Arts:DanceTheaterExperimental Performance

With projects that focus on the following pillars in their approach:

The Creatives Fund seeks to:
Provide funding & resources that support exhibitions, bold movements, and program initiatives
Cultivate a community of creative organizers
Support creatives & collectives through cross-networking and collaborations with critical thought partners in the arts
Eligibility Criteria
  • They warmly welcome you to apply if you are a BIPOC or BIPOC-ally creative or collective under 30 years old at the forefront of fighting systemic racism, inequality, inequity, and injustice in the United States and around the world.
  • WAFF’s aim is to support and further the work of BIPOC individuals and communities, they encourage those who do not identify as BIPOC, but offer a project scope and design that illustrates solidarity and allyship with BIPOC individuals, communities and organizations, to also apply.
