The Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund has launched its new call for proposals in the DRC to support civil society organizations working to improve the human rights, safety, security and mental health of women and girls, and to improve the socio-economic recovery and political participation of women and young women in peacebuilding contexts.

The overall objective of this call for proposals is to provide grants to local civil society organizations in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) focused on the protection of women and girls, and the consolidation of peace and socio-economic recovery in conflict and humanitarian contexts.

The call for proposals specifically contributes to the following impacts of the Women’s Fund for Peace and Humanitarian (FFPH):

Impact 5: The human rights, safety, security and mental health of women and girls are improved.
Impact 6: Improved socioeconomic recovery and political participation of women and young women in peacebuilding contexts (in line with FFPH impact area 6).

Streams
FFPH seeks to fund eligible organizations in the DRC through the following funding streams:Programmatic funding from $30,000 to $200,000Provides programmatic funding for CSO projects aimed atimproving the human rights, safety, security and mental health of women and girls; ORCSO projects aimed at improving the socio-economic recovery and political participation of women and young women in peacebuilding contexts.Institutional funding from 2,500 USD to 30,000 USDProvides institutional funding for the restoration and strengthening of the institutional capacities of civil society organizations working to implement commitments relating to the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda.

Please note: an organization can only apply once, either for one or both streams. Organizations applying for both streams must submit two application documents based on the requirements and templates associated with each stream.
