The 2023 French-African Young Leaders Program (Fully Funded to Rwanda & France)
The French-African Foundation annually gathers a group of Young Leaders who are significant contributors to Franco-African relations on the basis of a public call for applications and a rigorous jury selection process. The chosen candidates take part in two weeks of seminars that alternate between France and an African nation.
In order to support the Franco-African conversation in all fields, the French-African Foundation is looking for 30 young people from Africa and France to join the latest cohort of its program! This year, "unleash energies" serves as the Young Leaders program's theme, bringing together all outstanding and dedicated Franco-African youngsters.
Under the high patronage of Presidents Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic and Paul Kagame of the Republic of Rwanda, the Foundation will bring the new class together for a week in France in June 2023 and a week in Rwanda in the fall of that same year for meetings, training, and special opportunities for professional and personal exchanges in contact with prominent Franco-African and international figures from the political, economic, cultural, and military spheres.
The chosen must be between the ages of 28 and 40.
They must be citizens of either France or of an African nation.
English proficiency is necessary. French proficiency or a clear desire to learn.
Candidates for selection must exhibit participation, inclusive leadership, and cross-sectoral and international boundaries.
The chosen candidate must also have practical knowledge and experiences in any field.
