The World’s Best School Prizes are a unique chance for schools to share a $250,000 award and help transform education. The global recognition gives schools a voice in education reform, allows them to inspire others, share best practices, and improve education from the grassroots.


How to apply
Please read before getting started
You will first need to register to start your application. Once registered, you’ll be able to start filling out the application form. You may first preview the application form questions.
You can save your draft at any point and continue later by just logging into your account. Make sure you save your password! Also, while drafting, ensure your answers remain within the maximum character limit as indicated in each question.
Once completed, you can submit your application form, but please note that you won’t be able to edit after submission.
Who can apply?
Schools or learning centres that are legally registered with their respective Ministry of Education or government regulatory authority.

General requirements to apply
Only Teachers or Principals that currently work and operate in the school they are entering into the Prizes can register to submit an application. The person completing the application first needs to register. They also must be aged 18+ and have the authorisation of the school’s authorities and/or its governing body to submit the form.
Applications can be submitted in 60 different languages.
Application to enter the contest is free of charge.

November 10th 2022 - Launch of the application process

March 15th - Applications close

June - Public announcement of Top 10 shortlists for each Prize

September - Public announcement of Top 3 finalists for each Prize & Public Vote

October - Winning Ceremony

Judging Process
1 - An initial review will look at each school application to ensure compliance with all of the requirements. A second review will be conducted based on the judging criteria.

2 - Once a longlist has been proposed for each category, we will conduct further due diligence and will invite schools to an online interview to support their application.

3 - The Educator Committee of our Review Panel will assess the shortlisted schools for each category based on their applications and interviews to select the Top 3 finalists in each category.

4 - Final evaluation packages will be sent to our Judging Academy who will vote for the winner of each category.
